A Community Built to Nurture Each Student’s Unique Journey
Mississippi Microschool is a small secular learning community providing personalized, student-led education in an emotionally nurturing environment.
About Us
Founded in Summer 2024, Mississippi Microschool is located in a renovated commercial building in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood of St. Paul. It is the realization of a dream — a place where students can get a personalized, homeschool-like education AND the joy and magic of being part of a community.
Allison Boblit, Founder and Director
Allison has an MS in Geographic Information Science from St. Mary’s University and a BS in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Before becoming a mom, she worked as an ecology research assistant, a chemist, and a digital map-maker. She loves caring for animals, working for the environment, and baking treats. In the last ten years, her care and attention turned to her own children and then to the broader community of neurodiverse families. She is determined to apply all she has learned from managing her own household to the success of Mississippi Microschool. She is dedicated to building Mississippi Microschool into a sustainable learning environment that will continue to serve the local community for years to come.
